Remember those old Cartoon Network Groovies music videos they'd air during commercials? Ah, nostalgia. So these guys made this one, and it's been stuck in my head for the past few months. This particular album is a greatest hits collection cause I'll admit I still don't know them that well; I honestly just wanted "Circles" and "Casiotone Nation." However, after listening to this for a bit, I'd say their overall sound was if Cake decided to start hanging out at slam poetry venues while listening to Tom Waits on heavy rotation.
You know, after looking up all those links, I may have to do a Best of Cartoon Network Groovies collection next.
Man thanks a lot... I also heard a few of their songs a long time ago... and yes, Unmarked Helicopters in X-Files caught my attention... Thought to give their whole discography a listen... Interesting band... Bestest, C.
