Shearwater - Shearwater is Enron (2010)

If you have no idea who Shearwater is, they're an awesome indie-folk-rock (but not the boring kind) band that started as a side project of some members of the band Okkervil River in 1999. They have released a few albums since then, including The Golden Archipelago earlier this year as well as Rook earlier in 2008 (both excellent albums, I strongly suggest checking them out).

This latest release is a little different. Shearwater is Enron is a collection of instrumental songs recorded by the band (the songs don't even have names), including some live and/or improvised songs. If you're one of those people who can't stand Jonathan Meiburg's voice for whatever reason, this may be the album to finally get you interested in the band.
