Elsinore - Yes Yes Yes (2010)

During this past summer at the aptly named Summerfest, I saw this random band Elsinore open for Collections of Colonies of Bees. They were...alright. I guess. Anyway, I got a copy of their EP The General and the song of the same name which just happens to appear on it is actually quite good (as opposed to just "regular good"). In fact, it's probably been my favorite song of the week.

Well, by some freakishly awesome chance, I happened to hear that their first full length album was released today of all days. I listened to it once and thought it was pretty good. It's got a couple tracks from the EP, including "The General" so be especially sure to check that one out. If anything, it kinda reminds me of some kind of local band trying to sound like Death Cab for Cutie. It's quite poppy and probably forgettable but worth checking out at least once, if only for a couple standout tracks.
